چکیده

District heating systems are gaining global recognition as an essential tool for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning to a low-carbon-energy future. In this context, heat pumps becoming important technology, providing effective solution improving energy efficiency the reliance on fossil fuels in systems. Therefore, study is focused optimal selection of pump different types buildings considering technical, economic, environmental, social factors. This paper proposes novel methodology based mixed-integer nonlinear programming multi-objective optimization that minimizes total costs reduces CO2 production supply over desired period. The applied various building types, including renovated unrenovated apartment buildings, schools, kindergartens, supermarket. analyzes electric heaters space domestic hot water production. Optimization results showed system includes air-to-water heaters. Furthermore, schools supermarket, these combined with hybrid pumps. goal making neutral terms was achieved eight out eleven analyzed. most profitable investments were five-story nine-story due their low (0.0831 EUR/kWh), short payback periods, high returns investment.

Performance assessment of heat pump systems in non-residential buildings by means of dedicated simulation models

A possibility of increasing interest for reducing the energy consumption in office and health care buildings consist in better exploiting the potential of the heat pump technology. This can be done by recovering heat at the condenser when the chiller is used to produce cold (simultaneous heating and cooling demands) or by using the chiller in heat pump mode (non-simultaneous heating and cooling...

CO2 emissions trading planning in combined heat and power production via multi-period stochastic optimization

The EU emissions trading scheme (ETS) taking effect in 2005 covers CO2 emissions from specific large-scale industrial activities and combustion installations. A large number of existing and potential future combined heat and power (CHP) installations are subject to ETS and targeted for emissions reduction. CHP production is an important technology for efficient and clean provision of energy bec...

Optimization of a transcritical CO2 heat pump cycle for simultaneous cooling and heating applications

Energetic and exergetic analyses as well as optimization studies of a transcritical carbon dioxide heat pump system are presented in this article. A computer code has been developed to obtain sub-critical and super-critical thermodynamic and transport properties of carbon dioxide. Estimates for irreversibilities of individual components of the system lead to possible measures for performance im...

Reduction of CO2 Emission and Production Costs by Using Pozzolans in Lamerd Cement Factory

Two major concerns for cement factories are environmental aspects and production costs. The number of cement factories is increasing in Iran which from an environmental point of view is not favorable. Different pozzolans such as brick, potted clay, volcanic rocks, sedimentary rocks and rice bran were used in the cement produced by Lamerd factory in the south of Iran. Among these additives, ...
